The Now Entering Berne red-carpet premiere is September 18
Join Ball State PBS for a special red-carpet premiere of Now Entering… Berne — Ball State PBS’s newest installment in our documentary series that shines a spotlight on our great small towns!
The event will be held Thursday, September 18 at Swiss Village Retirement Community, 1350 West Main Street Berne, IN. The schedule for the night is:
6:15 p.m.: Doors open, red carpet and concessions
6:55 p.m.: Welcome remarks
7 p.m.: NOW ENTERING… BERNE Screening
7:30 p.m.: Filmmaker panel discussion and audience Q&A
8 p.m.: Event concludes
Walk the red carpet, snap a photo, and enjoy a community celebration as we premiere this locally-made documentary starring the residents, business owners, and artists of Berne.
After the screening, stay for a panel discussion featuring storytellers and community members who helped bring this project to life. Learn about the behind-the-scenes process and what makes Berne so special!

NOW ENTERING… BERNE explores the deep roots of the families and businesses of the unique small town that is Berne, Indiana.
The program includes stories from its own residents about their Swiss ancestors who immigrated here, the Swiss Heritage Village & Museum that keeps Berne history and culture alive, and the Heritage Room at the Berne Public Library that keeps residents connected with their lineage.
Learn how Berne has fun with their heritage by learning about their town icon, their Swiss Days celebration, and finally, take a dip Pine Lake Waterpark, a waterpark in Berne’s backyard.
